Many of our products are subjected to mechanical stresses during transport or subsequent use. Electrodynamic vibration testing, also known as "shaker" testing, simulates product behavior under these stress conditions and tests the products for correct function
This seminar provides an in-depth look at various testing standards and procedures. We compare the effects of different excitation types on the product and demonstrate methods for creating test profiles. Which test parameters must I define in a test specification? We'll answer that question too.
The functionality of vibration exciters, their technical parameters and limitations are discussed. The selection of suitable sensors, measurement methods, and the determination of measurement uncertainty are further topics.
In the second part of the seminar, we will use the laboratory area, experience the functionality of the vibration test systems, and conduct measurements on a test setup. We will compare the influence of the test setup on the control system and the selected control strategy on the test procedure. The comparison of recorded field loads with the requirements of standards is also of interest.
Target audience
Employees from development, test engineers with basic knowledge of vibration technology.
Prerequisite
Participation requires basic knowledge. We recommend attending the seminar beforehand: "Understanding vibration testing – fundamentals for practical application". To acquire the necessary foundations, basic knowledge of the standards IEC 60068-2-6, IEC 60068-2-27 and IEC 60068-2-64 is required.
