It was the idea to give our Know How to the market, that the Phoenix EMV-Test GmbH was founded in 1992. Intensive relationship with our customers led to the "One-Stop-Shopping" philosophy in testing and consulting services. The company headquarter is in Blomberg in East Westphalia, Germany. Phoenix Testlab operates all over the world and offers high end services in all areas of activity.

In the beginning of 2011, PHOENIX TESTLAB opens one of the most modern battery test laboratories of the world on an area of 950 qm.
Opening of our representation office in Kunshan, China.
The numbers of employees rise to 116, 3 apprentices.

In June 2006 Phoenix Testlab is designated under the MRA (Mutual Recognition Agreement) between the EU and Japan as Registered Certification Body (RCB) for Japan. Phoenix Testlab can issue approval certificates for "specified Radio Equipment" in Japan. The number of employees rise to 64 and the number of apprentices rise to 2.

In October 2005 the Phoenix Testlab EMC laboratory received a recognition for tests of car components by Daimler Chrysler. The number of employees rise to 55 and the number of apprentices rise to 2.

In February 2004, Phoenix Test-Lab received a certification of the Quality and Environmental Management System according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO 14001. Since April 2004, Phoenix Testlab has a new logo and new appearance.The environmental simulation laboratory goes into service in the new laboratory building. The number of employees rise to 52 and the number of apprentice rise to 2.

At the start of the year, Dr. Frank Eisert took over as the new sole shareholder of Phoenix Test-Lab GmbH. In July 2003, the EMC lab was listed with Industry Canada. The third new building, covering an area of 1300 m², was completed for the expansion of the environmental simulation lab. The number of employees rise to 44.

In February 2002, Phoenix Test-Lab received accreditation as a test laboratory for INTERBUS conformance testing. In April 2002, it was recognized by the Bundesamt für Seeschiffahrt und Hydrographie (BSH, Federal Maritime Shipping and Hydrography Authority). In July 2002, all test laboratories were accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. In October, Phoenix Test-Lab successfully gained accreditation according to the Automotive EMC Laboratory Recognition Program for General Motors and FORD.

In October 2001, Phoenix Test-Lab was recognized by the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Arbeit (BMWA, Federal Ministry of Economics and Labor) as a Telecommunication Certification Body (TCB) and as a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) for EMC for the USA. At this point, the company also moved into a new building covering an area of 1700 m², enabling the management and extension of the EMC and environmental simulation lab. This building also includes several seminar rooms and a restaurant for customers and employees.

In June 1999, the company received accreditation for the safety and environmental simulation lab and in November it was recognized by the Eisenbahn Bundesamt (EBA, Federal Rail Transport Authority) as a test center for tests on rail cars.

In January, Phoenix EMV-Test GmbH started trading under the name of Phoenix Test-Lab GmbH and in March, the company received accreditation for the radio test lab. In April 1998, the company was recognized as a notified body, which means it can evaluate radio systems and telecommunications termination devices according to R&TTE directive 1999/5/EC.

In January, the EMC lab was listed with the FCC for Part 15 & 18. In April, the second new building, covering an area of 900 m², was completed. This extended the EMC test laboratory and created a lab for environmental simulation and device safety tests, as well as a radio test lab. In August 1997, Phoenix EMV-Test was recognized by the Kraftfahrt Bundesamt (KBA, Federal Motor Transport Authority) as a "technical service". The number of employees rose to 12.
